Description
Structural and Industrial Steel Plate
At SUALSA we supply structural and industrial steel plate in compliance with European standards, ensuring full traceability, material consistency and compliance with mechanical and chemical requirements.
We stock a wide range of thicknesses and formats, with processing options including cutting and preparation to drawing.
Grades and Technical Specifications
We work primarily under EN 10025-2 / EN 10025-3 / EN 10025-4, among others:
Non-alloy structural steels
- S235JR (EN 10025-2) — Minimum yield strength: 235 MPa. Good suitability for forming and general welding.
- S275JR (EN 10025-2) — Minimum yield strength: 275 MPa. Structural applications with higher mechanical requirements.
- S355JR / S355J2 (EN 10025-2) — Minimum yield strength: 355 MPa. JR: impact test at +20°C. J2: impact test at -20°C. High mechanical strength and excellent structural performance.
High-strength steels and specific applications
- S355K2 / S460 (EN 10025-2 / EN 10025-4) — Higher yield strength steels for demanding structures.
- Wear-resistant plates (Hardox or equivalent) — Typical hardness: 400–500 HB. High abrasion resistance under severe working conditions.
- Quality plates for machining and cutting — Controlled composition to improve dimensional stability and reduce internal stresses.
