HP Profile for Shipbuilding and Industrial Applications

Commercial overview. SUALSA supplies steel bulb flats or bulb flat profiles (HP) in accordance with UNE-EN 10067:1997. The technical sheet includes nominal sizes from 80 × 5 mm to 430 × 20 mm, with cross-sectional data, weight per meter and geometric properties. Availability of sizes, grades and certificates must be confirmed for each inquiry.

Product Description

A bulb flat is a hot rolled steel bar with a flat section and a longitudinal bulb along one edge. This geometry provides increased stiffness with a relatively low weight and makes the profile suitable for reinforcing plates, panels and structures. It is used mainly in shipbuilding and ship repair, as well as in selected industrial applications.
